This is a short poem about a waterfall that I used to walk to from time to time in college. It just sort of popped into my head today. These words definitely capture the essence of that hike to me.

You have the itch.

A need to expand your horizon.

To dig into the realm of uncertainty and discovery.

The stream echoes your desire.

To follow the path wherever it may go.

You feel the wind whipping across your face.

The mountains tower above you.

The grass is soft under your feet.

A fog fills the air.

The clouds pass through the trees.

The scent of pine circulates in the breeze.

A mist cleanses your skin.

You hear a thunderous roar.

The cascade captures your gaze.

Your spirit is at peace.
